WordPress, the most popular Content Management System (CMS) in the world, powers countless websites, from small personal blogs to multinational corporations. While working with WordPress, you often want to replicate a page or post.
Page Duplication can save you much time for testing, restructuring, or creating similar content. Thankfully, WordPress offers several methods to accomplish this.
Now that we understand why one might want to duplicate a page, let’s examine the three methods to duplicate a page in your most recent WordPress project.
Several WordPress plugins are available for duplicating pages on WordPress. Before installing a plugin on your WordPress website of The App Founders, you should always consider the features you require and the plugin’s ratings and reviews. Given these considerations, we will use the free version of the Duplicate Page plugin for his guide.
To install the plugin, proceed as follows:
Once the plugin has been installed and activated, navigate to your website’s Pages section. Select Pages and All Pages from the menu on the left to get there. You will now observe that when you hover over the name of a page, a new menu item titled Duplicate This has been added.
Once you are ready for Page Duplication, select the Duplicate This link beneath the page listing you wish to duplicate. That is all! You can then modify the new duplicate page as necessary. Ensure that you modify the permalink for the new page.
As it is a duplicate, the URL for the permalink will also be duplicated, so be sure to update it to reflect the new content.
It is advisable to check the plugin’s parameters to ensure it functions as desired.
The options enable you to specify how you want pages duplicated and where you want the link to the duplicate page to appear.
Divi WordPress makes it simple for Divi users to duplicate pages (or templates). When creating a new page in WordPress using the Divi Builder, you can duplicate (or clone) existing pages. One of its best features is the ease with which Divi allows you to add, create, and administer page layouts. A page layout includes the complete design and content of a page. More than a thousand pre-made page layouts are included with Divi to jumpstart your page design and content. Additionally, you can save custom page layouts to your Divi Library for future use. Alternatively, you can save them to Divi Cloud and duplicate cloud items in bulk. This takes the procedure of page duplication a step further!
